The Baarat
With the melancholic bride contrasting the cheerful rest, the concept was to hint the flaw in the ethos of forced marriage.Warli: The traditional art of Gujarat-Maharashtra, is known for its narrative tendencies. While being true to the legacy of skilful artistry, I believe, current issues regarding forced marriage would best be represented by this art form. This scene is modelled in Maya using ornamental modelling to achieve a clean graphic style.
| शिवांगी ताण्डव |
| Shivāngi Tāndava |
One of three main gods in the Hindu Mythology is Shivā. Shivā is usually represented as the epitome of masculinity. However, sometimes we forget how Shivā is the most progressive gods of them all.
Shivā has a female energy: Shivāngini.
Here we see Shivāngini performing a dance of self expression called the Tāndava.
Gauri, Heerani and Morni
This was a character design project where I designed 3 different characters that exist in the same world. This ornamental graphic style is inspired by Indian traditional art leaning more towards the Madhubani Art style.
Two Bandits
Gauri: The space cow
Heerani: The psychic deer
And a Victim with a stolen necklace
Morni: The vengeful peacock
The technique used here is Ornamental modelling in Maya. For this project I decided to focus on design and colours, and embrace the clean and neat polygons that Maya so easily enable me to create.
